As a Celebrant I get to visit so many fabulous venues, all over Warwickshire and beyond, eight years as a Celebrant I have visited too many venues to mention here, so I thought I would share my top 5 favourite ones, a difficult task as I have conducted so many ceremonies in all kinds of spaces and places over the last 8 years
Every venue has it’s own atmosphere/ambience and I would encourage all my couples to visit those on my list as well as others, sometimes it helps you decide what you’re not looking for as well as what you are …
So, bearing that in mind these are my Top 5 personal favourites, they are very different venues, but all would be fabulous for any type of Celebrant ceremony whether that be a wedding or renewing your vows …..
- Bourton Hall Wedding Venue
A beautiful country mansion, built in the style of an 18th Century Italian Villa and the bonus is it is just a few miles from my home. The views from the garden were a fabulous surprise as I walked around the corner of the building – you can see for miles across the lovely countryside, right across to Draycote Water The most breath taking and atmospheric ‘space’ in this venue has to be the former Catholic chapel with it’s marble panelled walls & ornate wood and gold leaf ceiling, and oh the mirrors – it really is the perfect backdrop for you to say ‘I do’, there are other gorgeous rooms and did I mention the beautiful terrace for drinks, bring on the bubbles
This is an exclusive use stylish and elegant venue, ideal for an intimate party or larger celebrations

- The Billesley Manor Hotel
The second venue I have chosen is a fabulous 16th century manor house in the countryside just outside Stratford and this has made it onto my list because it is has gorgeous grounds, topiary – that’s nice bushes to you and me fountains…..great for indoor and outdoor ceremonies, beautiful wrought iron pagoda in the garden with a fabulous approach …it is also old fashioned, warm ….it screams classical and elegance
The team on site really make it …absolutely professional, five star service, luxury – lovely drinks terrace, in fact I think I need to attend a service there myself
And what could be more romantic than tying the knot in the same location as its believed William Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway?

- Hadsham Farm
What can I say about this venue ?? I have conducted ten ceremonies at this fabulous outdoor venue, which is just over the border for me in North Oxfordshire, it is nestled in a naturally secluded Cotswold valley, miles away from anywhere, stunning and super private for your own party.
Hadsham Farm is a beautiful lakeside permanent tipi venue perfect for 80–130 seated guests (up to 200 in the evening). It is open from April to October, the giant interlinked tipis provide a stunning, atmospheric space surrounded by rolling fields, water and nature.
It’s the ideal setting for couples wanting a celebration that feels relaxed, stylish and totally unique. Many of my couples choose a festival, laid back party feel ceremony, which is relaxed and fun.

- Compton Verney
Compton Verney is stunning, an art gallery and park, open to the public, it has a range of spaces to choose from for your ceremony. I have conducted ceremonies in the restored Georgian chapel with its intricate plaster and marblework adorning the ceiling and walls, large windows fill the space with natural light. Beautiful wooden seating and a pulpit if you have guests who would like to deliver a reading from upon high !! It is different, unique space with loads of atmosphere, it really is a magical place steeped in history. My couples love to visit the balcony before they leave to ring the chapel bell, a great way to conclude your ceremony !!

- The House and Orangery at Newbold Comyn
I first visited The House & Orangery, many years ago, just as it was opened and it has changed considerably since then with a fabulous extension. It makes a unique wedding venue and is set within Royal Leamington Spa’s stunning Newbold Comyn, surrounded by rolling Warwickshire countryside. I have conducted two ceremonies here in the last 12 months, both have been wonderful, especially Deb and Pete’s surprise wedding celebration, what an evening. The Orangery has elegant interiors and breathtaking views, it’s the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable celebration.
